• Metrin contains a hormone called progesterone, which is a natural female sex hormone that is produced in the body.

• Metrin 200 mg is used in "vitro fertilization" programs (artificial insemination cycles), in order to help conceive.

• Metrin 200 is intended for women who need additional progesterone during treatment in the Assisted Reproductive Program (ART).

• Metrin 200 mg can also be used to prevent endometrial hyperplasia in women who are taking estrogen hormones (such as hormone replacement therapy).
