How does amoxicillin work:

• Penicillin kills bacteria by attaching its beta-lactam ring to transpeptidase, the enzyme that forms the bacterial cell wall, preventing cell wall formation.
• Without a cell wall, the bacterial cell is vulnerable to external water and molecular stresses, which leads to the death of the bacteria.
• Amoxicillin is similar to penicillin in its bactericidal action.

Medical uses of Hymox 250 mg capsules:

• It is used to treat inflammation and infection caused by bacteria in different parts of the body.
• It may also be used with other medications to treat stomach ulcers.
• Acute bacterial sinusitis.
• Acute otitis media.
• Acute tonsillitis and streptococcal pharyngitis.
• Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
• Pneumonia.

How to use HAYMOX 250 mg capsules:

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Swallow the medicine with water
• Space doses evenly during the day, at least 4 hours apart.

Children weighing less than 40 kg:

• The usual dose is 40 mg to 90 mg per kg of body weight per day, given in two or three divided doses.
• The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg per kg of body weight per day.

Adults, elderly patients and children weighing 40 kg or more:

• The usual dose of amoxicillin ranges from 250 mg to 500 mg three times daily or 750 mg to 1 gram every 12 hours, depending on the severity and type of infection.
• The maximum recommended dose is 6 grams per day.
• Dosages can be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to your doctor or go to a hospital right away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for your next dose
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a forgotten dose.

Side effects of Hymox 250 mg capsules:

• Although the following side effects are not common to everyone, some patients may complain of the following:
• Allergic reactions, signs may include: itchy skin or rash, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, body or breathing difficulties.
• nausea.
• Diarrhea.
• Other severe skin reactions can include: changes in skin color, bumps under the skin, blistering, blistering, peeling, redness, pain, itching.
• Flu-like symptoms with rash, fever, swollen glands, and abnormal blood test results.

The use of HAYMOX 250 mg capsules during pregnancy and lactation:

Warnings and precautions while using HAYMOX 250 mg capsules:

_ Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking amoxicillin if you:

• You have a fever (high temperature, sore throat, swollen glands and extreme tiredness).
• You have kidney problems.
• You do not urinate regularly or the amount of urine is less than usual.

_ Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines, including non-prescription and prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins and nutritional supplements.
