What is distamine

It contains desloratadine which is an antihistamine.

Relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis

It is used to relieve symptoms associated with urticaria

Helps control allergic reaction and its symptoms.

Precautions

If you are allergic to desloratadine, any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6) or to loratadine.

How do you take Dystamine?

Always take this medication exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure

Adults and adolescents 12 years of age and over: The recommended dose is one tablet daily with water, with or without food.

This medication is for oral use. Swallow the tablet whole.

If you take more Dystamine than you should
Take Dystamine only as prescribed. Serious problems with accidental overdose are not expected. However, if you take more Dystamine than you are told, tell your doctor, pharmacist or nurse straight away.

If you forget to take a distamine
If you forget to take your dose at the scheduled time, take it as soon as possible and then go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Possible side effects

It may affect up to 1 in 10 people

Very rare: the following symptoms may occur in up to 1 in 10,000 people

Feeling sick.

Dizziness

drowsiness

Inability to sleep

myalgia

hallucinations

seizures

increased insomnia;

Lever Inflammation

Abnormal liver function tests

abnormal behaviour

aggression

Weight gain and increased appetite

Unknown children:

slow heart rate

Change in the way the heart beats

abnormal behaviour

aggression

Preservation and storage:

Do not store above 30°C. Store in its original packaging.

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children

Do not use this medicine if you notice any change in the appearance of the tablets.
