Keppra Syrup

It is a syrup containing levetiracetam, which belongs to the group of antiepileptics. It is used alone or with other medications to treat various types of epileptic seizures in children and adults.

Indications:

• To help control certain types of seizures in the treatment of epilepsy (note: this medicine cannot cure epilepsy, but will only control seizures for as long as you continue to use it).

How to Use:

• Take the syrup by mouth twice daily, with or without food.
• The dosage of the drug depends on the age, weight and medical condition of each person, so the instructions of the specialist must be followed.

Warnings and Precautions:

• You should tell the doctor or pharmacist if you have any other illnesses or if you are taking other medicines or herbs.
• This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness, so you should avoid driving or operating heavy machinery after taking the medicine.
• Do not stop the medication unless recommended by your doctor, as this may cause an increase in seizures.

• Arrhythmia.
• Anorexia.
• Depression, or anxiety
• Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea.
